Die irische Musikerin, Produzentin und NTS-Radiomacherin Maria Somerville präsentiert auf ihrem 2025 auf dem einflussreichen Label 4AD erschienen Album “Luster” introspektiven Dream-Pop. Dabei verbindet sie analoge Wärme, geisterhafte Vocals und flirrende Synth-Landschaften zwischen experimentellem Folk, Shoegaze und Ambient.

Marc Almond is one of the UK’s most distinctive and influential vocal artists, celebrated for his dramatic voice, emotional depth, and genre-spanning career. He first rose to international fame as the frontman of the pioneering synth-pop duo Soft Cell, whose darkly romantic style reshaped the sound of the early 1980s. Their global smash “Tainted Love” became a defining anthem of the decade, breaking chart records and cementing Almond’s status as a pop icon. Other Soft Cell hits such as “Say Hello, Wave Goodbye,” “Bedsitter,” and “Torch” further showcased his flair for combining catchy melodies with deeply poetic storytelling.
