The IfSW is proud to announce the start of the 2026 Nerd Nights concert series. Join us at Dom im Berg for an evening dedicated to live spatial-sound performances by Monique Fessl, Lukas König, Toupaz, and nor.
Let’s make it one to remember!
Doors open at 20h and the concert will start at 21h. Entrance is free!

The Nerd Night concert series is sponsored by the @Grazer Spielstätten, which grants the IfSW access to the Ambisonics Sound System of the Dom im Berg. Stadt Graz Kulturamt, BKMÖS Abt2 and Land STMK A9 support the Nerd Night 2026 project.

> MONIQUE FESSL
Monique Fessl is a Graz-based musician, DJ and producer. Her exploration of original compositions began in the late 1990s and she won the Austrian Skype Contest with the very first release of her band „Back to Godhead.“ In 2019, the band project MOET was founded in collaboration with dancer and choreographer Marta Navaridas. One vinyl release and one EP followed.
Since 2006, Monique Fessl has been working solo. Her tracks have been released on renowned labels such as Tongut (Switzerland), Monomental Digital (Hannover), Futureaudio (Hamburg), and the Graz-based label Zeiger Records, and her activities as DJ, producer and live performer have led to gigs in Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Russia, China and Bulgaria. Monique Fessl is currently working on her new album, which will be released this year.

> LUKAS KÖNIG
Austrian musician Lukas Koening is primarily a drummer. He studied at Gustav Mahler Konservatorium in Vienna, Anton-Bruckner University in Linz and HKB in Bern. He was given the Hans Koller Price- New York Scholarship in 2009, the Bremen Jazzpreis and Bawag P.S.K. Next Generation Award in 2014 (with Kompost3). Klangforum Wien premiered his composition Stereogram1 at Konzerthaus Vienna in 2018 and in 2021 he was chosen to be artist of the Shape Network. He has collaborated extensively with other musicians and has just released his latest solo album; Buffering Synapsis.

> TOUPAZ
Toupaz joins Nerd Nights for a second round with a special adapted live set at Dom im Berg. He will treat you with his usual shenanigans: throw in some textures, top off with a spoonful of atmospheres and stir well until his signature oddball rhythms come alive.

> NOR
nor is a Graz-based sound artist and DJ who aims to create engaging and emotional atmospheres. Using his custom-built controller designed specifically for spatial audio performances, he explores playful approaches to movement, texture, and space. His work blends natural and synthetic elements into surreal soundscapes that drift between the familiar and the artificial.
